  • All the things solo challenge – Pridewing Patriarch

    Its been 6 months since my first post…


    Admittedly i did take a break from wow for a few months due to life but i am happy to say i finally had the wyvern tailspike drop. I had to kill pridewing wyverns 2490 times and pridewing consorts 1575 times for a total of 101 pridewing patriarch spawns before it dropped.

    I would recommend anyone going into a potentially time consuming challenge like this to check the comments in wowhead. One of the best pieces of advice i read was to bring a toon with skinning as all of the mobs are skinnable. I made a decent chunk of gold while mindlessly farming this which helped to mitigate the time consumption lol.

    Having recently got back into the grind, i am currently working on alts farming rare spawn drops. I did complete Ashenvale however and will be actively farming Azshara for 3 leatherworking pattern zone drops.

  • All the things solo challenge

    World of warcraft is a game that i have played on and off since it was first released. Over the years it has become a comfort game that i go back to playing in my spare time, satiating the collector in me.

    When i realised that pokemon cards and comic books were becoming monetarily out of reach it seemed natural to turn to wow. Much to my delight i also stumbled upon a glorious addon called all the things.

    This addon is a collectors dream, its a comprehensive list of all the things in wow over the years and expansions that you can collect. You can filter out the things that dont interest you and set challenges that appeal to your play style.

    Myself for example is interested in anything achievable through solo play. That basically leaves out group content like current dungeons and raids etc. and at this stage PvP. However i might add PvP into the challenge at a later date as i previously did enjoy it.

    To begin with I’m staring on the continent of Kalimdor and working on the classic zones from top to bottom, filtering out alliance content as well as i am a horde player. Due to playing for so long there is a lot that i have already completed so I’m cleaning up most of the zones.

    I have also decided to skip super rare drops until possibly later, for example azure whelpling, disgusting oozeling etc. to not get bogged down for possibly weeks and months.

    Completed – Teldrassil, Bloodmyst isle, Azuremyst Isle and durotar.

    Currently alt farming:

    Darkshore – Lady Vespira for spikelash dagger drop
    Azshara – General Fangferror for Joonho’s mercy drop
    Ashenvale – Terrowulf packlord for ruffled chaplet drop

    Actively grinding Pridewing Patriarch for the wyvern tailspike, kills 25, wyvern kills to summon the patriarch 1193.
